The Company was founded in 1947 as a one-man business
of Dr. Ing. Max Natter and was operating with services and repairs in many different categories of mining.

The change of name to Mahlscheid took place in 1966 and was incorporated as GmbH & Co. KG in 1972.
Since 1975 Mahlscheid concentrated his activities on the fabrication and reparation of Hydraulic-Props for underground coal mining.

In the meantime Mahlscheid is one of the few national and international companies which are still active in that category.
Precondition for the companies performance is besides the long time experience the necessary certificate of the DNV aswell as own trademarks and developments.

Meanwhile Mahlscheid is managed by Claus Natter as chairman of the company.
